It's a central theme in our daily lives; defining the things we enjoy and changing the way we behave. Poets have swooned and singers have crooned over it since the invention of the written word - and we all seek out those people who make our hearts beat a little faster.
But, for the most part, attraction remains an unsolved mystery. No definitive method exists to calculate or predict who we should be attracted to - nor how we can be attractive to others
The media constantly tries to tell us how we should look, what we should wear, what products we should buy and how we should act to be more attractive. There are books on chat up techniques and "rules" for dating. But can they hold up too the scrutiny of science?
